We have a very unique and special graduating class this year. Our one and only graduate will be finishing her coursework early and will be graduating in December. The commencement ceremony for Jersey Tripp (Class of 2024-2025) will be held on Sunday, December 15 at 2:00pm at Pingree-Buchanan High School. Congratulations Jersey!
Books are Fun Book Blast (be on the look-out)
Your child will be bringing home a Treasure Map. Register your student and invite 10+ friends and family who want to help support them: https://app.booksarefun.com/PingreeBES58420
ACT NOW: All students who register and send 10+ invitations will earn all 3 prizes and be entered into drawings to win a treasure chest stuffed with cash or iPad. The first 25 will receive prizes the next day, while the others will get their prizes with the book delivery after the event.
100% of these contributions will directly fund books for our students.
How do students get all 3 reward prizes?
Their parent or guardian must enter at least 10 emails or cell phone numbers at the link shown on the treasure map. Prizes will be given out to the first students who complete the challenge initially and the remainder of the students will receive their reward prizes at the end of the Book Blast. Act quickly!
How many contacts must be submitted to be entered in the drawings?
10 emails or cell phone numbers must be entered for students to be entered
How will a teacher know if a student has completed the challenge?
Reports are sent daily to the school with the names of the students who have completed the challenge. If a student believes they have completed the challenge but have not received their rewards, it may be that an email was incorrect. Please check the report sent to your school's Book Blast contact for a count of the number of contacts entered.
How many books do students get?
Every student is guaranteed at least one book from the books shown in the treasure map as long as the school completes the activities required such as distributing treasure maps, showing students the above videos, and communicating with parents. Students can earn up to 10 books from the online contributions of their friends and family. The average book cost is $12.00 per book.
What happens if a student receives more contributions than the cost of their 10 books?
Additional contributions are used to cover the cost of their schoolmate's books and, if possible, purchase more books for those students who receive the fewest.
Is the contact information entered kept private or is it sold?
All contact information entered is completely safe and kept private. It is only used to help students get contributions for their Book Blast. It is never shared, sold or used for outside marketing purpose.
Looking to get rid of some stuff? Consider donating to Bufftown Bargains in Jamestown. Let them know you want your donation to go to Pingree-Buchanan Schools and the proceeds from those sales will get donated back to the school. What a great way to get rid of some unwanted stuff and help out the school! Bufftown Bargains is located at 810 18th St SW in Jamestown (in the old O'Reilly Auto Parts Building).
The elementary boys basketball team will play in Medina today at 4:00pm. They will play 6 quarters. The bus will leave Buchanan at 2:50pm.

"Caught Being Good"
At Pingree-Buchanan Elementary, we love celebrating positive behavior and honoring our outstanding students! As part of our Positive Behavior program, these students were "caught being good" this week, showing kindness, respect, responsibility, and a commitment to safety throughout our school.
*Each day, students have the chance to receive a "Caught Being Good" ticket from school staff. Every week, students who earn this recognition will have their picture taken. At the end of the month, their names will be entered into a prize drawing. If you're interested in donating prizes, please contact Mr. Kafer.
