Summer is coming to an end a lot quicker than we may want; however, it is time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. Pingree-Buchanan students are able to participate in football this fall with Carrington. There will be a player and parent meeting on Wednesday, August 2nd at 7pm in the Carrington High School commons area. Please note that high school students will be issued a laptop bag on the first day of school and will not be allowed to carry a personal backpack from class to class. They will only need one for transporting books to and from school.
The Buchanan gym is being resurfaced today and will be off limits through next Friday, July 28.
The high school hallways are being resurfaced today, so the entire building will be off limits until Monday, July 24.

Central Valley Public Health is holding Back-to-School Drive-Thru Immunization Clinics at the Jamestown Civic Center on July 20, July 27, and August 3 from 1pm-3pm. Appointments are required. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

The Pingree-Buchanan High School gymnasium is being resurfaced and will be off limits starting today, July 12 through Wednesday, July 19. There can be no foot traffic on the gymnasium floor during this time as the new surface needs to cure.
There will be a basketball camp at Medina High School on July 28 & 29 for boys and girls going into grades K-5. The Pingree-Buchanan Booster Club will also pay $10 toward the registration fee for any student from Pingree-Buchanan. You will only need to write a check out for $85, instead of the full $95.

The Pingree Buchanan Booster Club has been asked to man admission gates at the Stutsman County Fair again, with help from the Medina community. This is a huge fundraiser for the school and MPB Co-op teams, and we need as much help as possible. Please check with family members and friends to see if they would help with gate admission. Notice to Parents:
You may be eligible to receive P-EBT benefits for your school-aged children this summer. Children who received free or reduced-price lunch through the National School Lunch Program and were attending school at the end of the 22-23 school year. If your children are not currently eligible but might be for the 2023-2024 school year, you are encouraged to complete the P-EBT application and submit a Free/Reduced-Price application by August 25, 2023. Contact our Business Manager, Kylee Ingebretson at 701-252-5563 for an application form.
This year parents/guardians must complete an application to receive Summer P-EBT. The application can be completed online at https://ndsummerebt.nd.gov/

There are two items on the ballot: two school board members are running for reelection and the question of publication of school board meeting minutes in the Jamestown Sun which costs around $1,500 per year. We always publish the minutes in the school newsletter and post them on our website. This vote asks if you also want them to be published in the Jamestown Sun. A YES vote means you want the minutes published in the Jamestown Sun and a NO vote means you are content with having the minutes in the newsletter and on our website.
